Catena Media announces partnership with Lee Enterprises

Posted on 17/04/2023

Catena Media has signed a three-year partnership with Lee Enterprises, including all of Lee’s brands.

As the exclusive online sports betting and casino gaming partner, Catena Media will be responsible for working on frontpagebets.com.

The website will be Lee’s flagship betting product, which will host a range of betting content and push posts to social media channels.

Ryan Harper, VP of North America of Catena Media, said: “Lee Enterprises is one of the largest publishers in the US, and we are excited to work with them to bring high-quality editorial and advertorial betting content to their readers nationwide.

“The partnership with Lee allows us to continue to grow and bring our content to a broader audience.

“Our mission is to make sports betting and casino gaming more accessible and engaging for players, this new collaboration aligns perfectly with that ambition.”

Lee Enterprises has brands that extend across 77 different markets in 26 US states.

Through these, Maltese-based Catena Media will debut in several states, including Missouri, Texas, Minnesota, Alabama and North Carolina.

Joe Battistoni, VP of Sales and Marketing at Lee Enterprises, said: “This partnership with Catena Media enables us to expand our offerings in this space.

“We look forward to working with Catena Media to provide readers with insightful and informative content on online sports betting and casino gaming.”

In its latest report, Catena Media announced that 51% of its markets were in online sports betting.

Additionally, the report emphasised how North America would be the primary focus for company expansion for the foreseeable future, following the online sports betting market becoming regulated in more US states.

Earlier this year, rival affiliate Better Collective acquired a greater than 5% position in Catena Media.
